Solar Tracker Lab (teaching project developed in cooperation with MathWorks)
This page contains the documentation of a series of laboratory sessions on the design of a light-sensing solar tracker using the Lego EV3 platform. The lab sessions take the students through the design of the actuators control laws, the input signal filtering, and the design of the control logic to optimally place the solar panel.
The teaching material (available on the right) will be used for the first time in the spring semester of 2014/15 in four lab sessions for the course of Systems Analysis.
